This steel museum introduces the history, mechanics, and distribution of the bellows and advanced steel technology.
This tradition has been passed down to this day, and even now high grade special steel called “Yasugi Specialty Steel” is produced in Yasugi City and shipped to cutlery makers around the world.
The museum has a shop where items made of Yasugi Specialty Steel, such as Japanese kitchen knives are available.
The “Yasugi Cutlery Festival” is held on May 3 and 4 every year with cutlery makers from all parts of Japan gathering.
